This one, a Montblanc 142 I received last weekend; filled it with Diamine Teal (my new favorite ink color) and already used it up!

Sorry about the poor pic quality. It's after midnight, I can only take a quick shot in under dimmed lighting. White balance is completely off. The metal trim is actually rhodium plated, silver colour. The lacquer is glassy smooth and very shiny.

Brand new with a medium 18K nib, for A$72 only. Last one in stock. To my surprise, the M writes more like a modern Parker's F, exactly what I wanted. Smooth and slightly wet (6/10), with a little give - a great writer.

It had another little surprise too. The date code indicates that the pen was made in the second quarter of 1991. All I could think of was: "Poor thing, for over two decades somehow it never got sold. I'll introduce you to an 8-year-old gusher of a cousin at home."

Before today, I had only $8 left in my February pen budget, but I'm not letting this one feel unloved or abandoned. Now that I've dipped into March budget, it's time to sell a pen or two to bring things back to balance...
    Nice find Kai. Good price.
I've found my Sonnet 18K-F from PoK improved over time and use too.

This would be perfect if one's school colors were blue and gold,

A quick & dirty shot of two pens that arrived in recent days, nothing fancy or top-notch expensive. I am more into user pens and everyday use workhorses that can still be stylish.

A Kaigelu 316 in marbled amber. Somewhat inspired by Parker's Duofold internationl and a very nice writer. Highly recommended for daily office use.

Excellent haul!! Goulet packages should come with a warning that shopping there may be addictive.

That's a nice blue! Great pen choice as well, I was using my black safari earlier.

Nice pens Erpe, the Kaigelu 316 in marbled amber looks particularly attractive . I may have to short list one of those.

Great haul SharpSpine (hi & welcome to the forum) that Charcoal Safari is my favourite of the safari line up. And as TracyLee says careful shopping at Goulets can and is an addictive pastime...and they are great people to deal with too.

Olive, with only a couple days and a few hundred words I am quite pleased. I was a little concerned about the grip indentions in the section but they work really well for me. I think it is great to start with as it will help me gone my technique. Despite all this I can't wait to get some more inks and pens already. My birthday can't come soon enough!

I've been getting a lot of compliments on this ink. When I looked into it I thought it looked very similar to the highly praised Iroshizuku Kon-Peki. For being a black ink guy for over a decade I am really enjoying this splendid blue.
