Esterbrook LJ
A buddy of mine got an Esterbrook LJ for me in copper color. I know these were made in the 1943 range or so. Do you know when they stopped making them? I'm trying to figure out when my pen was made.

Re: Esterbrook LJ
Brian Anderson's Esterbrook.net should have the answer to your question, plus it's a nice site to learn various facts about Esterbrook pens.

Re: Esterbrook LJ
I learned enough on Brian Anderson's site that I got really hooked for a while. It is a great resource for Esterbrook, and it is a very important resource for the hobby. The pictures are pretty too.
The copper is a beautiful color in the J series.

Re: Esterbrook LJ
I agree, it is a great site. I still did not find the manufacture date. I know it is in the 50's, and that is about it. I don't know when they stopped making the LJ either. Maybe I missed it on Brian's site. I also looked at Richard's site too.

Re: Esterbrook LJ
I don't know when they stopped making the LJ, but I do have copies of Esterbrook ads from September, 1956, which clearly indicate that they were still making them at that time.
