This is just a fun read. Mind you, this is written from a different perspective than that of a fountain pen geek. One obvious failure is that the comparisons of one hundred pens on attributes like bleed-through and smudging fail to distinguish pen from ink. For example, when reviewing a Pelikan M205:
"Smudging was a minor issue, about average for a fountain pen. (I tested this with the included ink cartridge, which is a special edition Pelikan ink from the “Edelstein Ink Collection,” so it’s possible that had something to do with the smudginess.)"
NSS! (Emphasis added.)
Be sure you read the introductory explanations before diving into the 100 pens. Even so, I lost patience reading through so many, so I ran a search (in Safari) on the word "fountain" (appearing 72 times on the webpage) which zeroed in on the content I was interested in. Spoiler: The Aurora Ipsilon was their winner of the fountain pens.
