The years have a way of creeping up on you. A little while back I remembered how nice onionskin paper was for writing on in fountain pen "back in the day," so I went into an office supply store to pick some up. Not only could I not find it, the kids who worked there had never heard of it. This was something that from my childhood through my young adulthood, anyway, you could find in every drug store in America. So I went online, and found ONE company that manufactures what it calls onionskin paper, but it's not the same stuff because it has 0% cotton content, and real onionskin has at least 25%. The only place I could find any was on eBay at ridiculous prices. It was as if I had gone into a store to buy a number 2 pencil, only to find they'd stopped making them, but I could still buy a vintage Ticonderoga on eBay for $20. Dang.
