Hello from Brooklyn New York!
Hello. I have a longtime interest in things analog: film cameras, hand painted signs and now, an admitted long-running interest in fountain pens.
A Montblanc 146 was gifted by a close friend over 10 years ago. My first Kaweco Sport (AL and plastic versions) was about 6 years ago. Since then I've acquired a MB 146 and am aiming to purchase a Platinum Izumo-tamenuri in Soratame (?), or what I believe to be green Urushi. My most recent acquisition is a Lotus Shikhar, which I think is a great pen, although it seems to leak when capped. Perhaps I'll address that in another post.
I've been lurking on FPG for awhile and decided to take the plunge and post today!

Re: Hello from Brooklyn New York!
Hello Guyy. Are there places that you recommend to shop for pens in NYC? I am familiar with the FP Hospital and Kinokuniya in midtown. It seems as if there's a dearth of pen stores in NYC.
Thanks!

Re: Hello from Brooklyn New York!
I only ever go to FPH. Being downtown and on the R line, it’s the most convenient to me. Plus it has the best selection. (I do visit Kinokuniya, but only for Japanese books.)
There’s also a Lamy store in Soho on W. Broadway. I haven’t been there.
As bad as it is in NYC, it’s worse elsewhere.
