Manu Propria Pens - "suemon-zôgan"
I have made some experiments with Urushi Lacquer recently.
Kinsoku Mitateai is the Term for Urushi Lacquer imitating metal surfaces.
This lacquer is imitating "Zôgan" which is a Japanese metal inlay technique,
"suemon-zôgan" High relief brass inlay. Urushi Lacquer and metal powders.
The stars built from Urushi and powders of Brass, Copper and Bronze.
The black iron ground with fine black dry lacquer powder and iron powder
Wish you all a pleasant weekend.
Martin

Beautiful pen - but you really need to partner with a nibmaker to complete the piece.

Re: Manu Propria Pens - "suemon-zôgan"
Thank you Sir,
As mentioned earlier, my nibs are identical with those used by the mayortity of the pen manufactureres, made by Jowo or Bock, same gold sheet, same Palladium Osmium tip. I want to keep my pens as simple as possible and as a niche brand I don't need to attract everybody
Best,
Martin
