Swans don't come any bigger than this. The No 8 nib is the ultimate.
The model name is a little misleading. It isn't a safety pen, just one among the first to have a threaded cap which was regarded as a safety feature at the time.
I believe these eyedropper fillers went into production in 1911 and probably continued to be made at least until 1920.
The sterling silver cap band may well be an addition by a jeweller as I have never been able to find anything similar in Swan adverts. Swans of this size are rare and greatly in demand.
