Default Parker Vacumatic Gold Stripe Lockdown

    Double jewel of course.

I know that Parker Vacumatic is a popular pen, but strangely I don't see a lot of reviews here.
So, in the interest of preserving info about pen history, here's one.

I have saved and restored many Parker Vacumatics.
Restoring one of these is always a project in which the satisfaction outweighs the frustrations (quite the opposite of the Sheaffer Snorkel, really, at least for me).

I still see myself getting more Vacumatic, so it's possible for this pen to be surpassed, but this one stood out as one of the nicest pen I've ever written with, not just Vacumatics.
The girth, the weight, the way the Medium nib just dance on paper, is something that just brings out the cheery side of me. The lockdown filler is also pristine without the typical gouging on the "lock" slit.

The model is Standard, the stripe is honey brown "gold" colored, and the trims are complete.

The nib is not flexible, but man, it writes so nicely.

The sketch is of a 13th century monk, on his way back to the monastery from serving in the village...
