I was never very active on FPGeeks, but some of you may recognize me from FPN or r/Pen_Swap. I'm trying to be better on the socials, but I'm only one hobbyist . Since FPN took a dive, FPGeeks is now my favorite fountain pen forum!
I am happy to announce the launch of a completely redesigned Pentuner.com.
Pentuner
Who am I?
I have been working on fountain pen nibs for more than ten years. Mostly on my own pens, but in the past few years I have been expanding and selling my services to the fountain pen community. I am known as jesse on FPN and u/pentuner on Reddit, and I recently launched a redesign of my website.
A few years ago I offered my services to the fountain pen community with great success. After taking a 2-year hiatus, I am very pleased to be back and again have the opportunity to assist others with their pens.
What do I offer?
- Nib grinds start at $30 for stub and italic, extra for oblique and architect. Width reduction starts at $60.
- Tune and smooth is only $15!
- Tine straightening available starting at $20. PM me to discuss your needs.
- Restoration services available. I am equipped to service and restore button/lever fillers, Sheaffer PFM, Touchdowns, and Snorkel systems, Vacumatics (including 51 vac), Pelikan and Montblanc pistons, and others. Restoration starts at $30. PM me to discuss your needs.
Turnaround time?
- This depends on the level of work your pen requires. Pen tuning will be completed in a week, but usually less!
- Grinds take 7-14 days.
- Repairs take 10-20 days.
- Restorations can take a week or several weeks, depending on the nature of the work and parts availability.
Shipping
Prices do not include shipping, but I only charge actual shipping costs. I have worked with customers world wide. In general, shipping fees for USA start around $4, Canada starts around $11, and rest of the world around $14. Insurance and signature confirmation are available.
I have worked on hundreds of pens and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the community over the years. Please contact me via PM to discuss your needs and interests.
I stand behind my work and guarantee your satisfaction. If I totally botch your nib I'll replace it. It hasn't happened yet, but my guarantee stands to show my commitment.
