I really the medium size ones a lot. Pages are about 9.5 inches high and 6 inches wide. My local Staples said they are discontinued. Anyone know if there is another source for these ?

I used to use these quite a bit, loved 'em, but can't find them now. There are other places and brand that have (alleged) sugarcane-based paper notebooks, but the quality is all over the map. The worst thing is even with the above, they changed sources from time to time - sometimes paper from S. America, sometimes Viet Nam. And it could definitely affect the fp situation.
All I can say is if you find a source and the paper is good, buy in bulk for future use.

Franklin Christoph makes notebooks of bagasse paper, oddly slightly purple.

I have and use those notebooks. The paper used to be really awesome, the last ones I bought not so much.
The FC paper is really nice, the notebooks are almost too nice/fancy for me.
it's a shame these staples notebooks aren't good or extant anymore.

My Staples online account shows that they are still available https://www.staples.com/sugarcane-ba...oduct_UNV66208
