Default SOLD Maroon Sheaffer Snorkel Sentinel Pen & Pencil set

    SOLD!

Another Antique store find today. This is a minty fresh mid 1950's Sheaffer Snorkel Sentinel set in Maroon. They are in very good condition, there are a few rubs on the body here and there. There are no cracks, gouges, deep scratches or anything obvious like that. An afternoon with some micromesh and these would glow, but I'm not touching them because they are pretty darned good already. I usually reserve heavy buffing for the ugly problem pens. The pen has a two toned 14k nib. It does not look like this was used that much if at all. It still has the original nib size sticker on the section!!!!! There was a TINY amount of blue ink that came out of the nib when soaked in water and the snorkel and filling system works properly when tested in water. I would suspect the original sac is still in there. I dipped the pen ONLY and wrote a few sentences detailing the exploits of a brown fox and lazy dog then thoroughly cleaned the nib again. The nib is a nice smooth medium and writes effortlessly. It includes the original clam shell box and a mint condition instruction sheet beneath the base. The pencil operates properly and has the factory eraser and three additional leads inside the body.

I am asking $100 shipped to CONUS.

I would be willing to trade for a Falcon with a fine or extra fine nib.

I will be taking more photos with a real camera tomorrow.
