INKTOBER52 PROMPT NO.36 IS "ARTEMIS"
The Goddess of the Hunt is getting ready to go to the moon! This prompt is in honor of the Artemis missions by NASA to get humanity back to the moon. But how can you take this prompt? Rockets? Moons? Bows and arrows? We can’t wait to see it!

Since I already have drawn an airplane, a rocket and a man on the moon, I got inspired by the classic architecture of the temple of artemis at Gerasa.

Armour/ Artemis
Inspired by medieval illumination.
I wish I could say, that Artemis was a nod to Mogul miniature, but I made the mistake to sketch directly with ink
I used an Ackerman pen with Leonardt EF nib for the sketching with a dip pen IG ink.
Two different Iron gall inks for the armour and the wall.
Other inks, Frisian/ Purple/ Bohemian and Austria natural inks.
Sky is Monteverde Horizon Blue....
Grass is Kakimori Kurun...

Artemis:
I decided early on that I wanted to go with the goddess rather than the space mission or something else. But a realistic full figure depiction was proving to be beyond me, and I didn't want something too cartoony.
So I found this picture of a figure on an ancient Greek vase, and did a version of that.

Punch your way through this week’s prompt taking inspiration from Heinrich Kley’s piece above. Settle the score with fists of fury as you prepare for Inktober 2022 by keeping up on Inktober 52.
From a young age, German artist Heinrich Kley was uniquely apt to draw everything from animals to machinery. Soon his work was found in many German newspapers that were popular at the time. His work went on to influence Disney Studios’ early cartoons, most notably in the musical film Fantasia. Enjoy his work this week as we share Heinrich Kley as our featured artist.

(Unfortunately, this idea is not mine but Celestino Piatti's, who designed a poster for "the fight" between Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier in 1974.)

There are only three full timers left - and it would seem that things aren't too easy for them.

Very sad.
Like Kaputnik, my initial thought was Punch and Judy shows. Even had a rough idea of Punch enjoying a glass of punch while Judy works backstage to get her retaliation in first.

My second thought was the now-defunct British humour magazine Punch, whose symbol was Mr Punch. So here’s a transatlantic fist bump between Mr Punch and his American counterpart Eustace Tilley of The New Yorker, plus a callback to Mohammad Ali.

Thanks for the update Yazeh 👍
Btw. I have something for “Punch” already, but can’t post it as I made it with MI #45.
Didn’t expected that Jaguarish’s owl presumable was swallowed by a big white shark somewhere in the middle of the Pacific. 😱
