Sailor Badtz Maru pen

Hi everyone, I just bought this pen, probably overpaid, but it was the only one on offer and I am a diehard fountain pen AND Badtz-Maru collector, so I had to. I haven’t been able to find anything out about it through Sailor’s website or online. I was hoping someone more into Sailors could point me in the right direction. I was wondering when it was made, if there are other characters, and how much the retail price was when available. I have a feeling it’s more of a school pen than anything else.
