Hello! So tomorrow is my first time going to a pen show. Does anyone have any tips on what to do at a pen show?

Aw, man, I'm sorry! I'm going to keep an eye out for any good deals for you. Keep the fire burning, there's always next year.
BTW, you must be in the general LA area, yeah? The next best thing to going to a pen show is to make it to a good pen shop and there aren't many left. However, there IS The Fountain Pen Shop in Monrovia. It is run by Fred Krinke who has been in the business for decades, taking over the shop his father started in downtown LA in the 1920s. Mr. Krinke is a great guy and there is also a 'pen club' that meets at his shop every so often. It would be so very worth it for you to go there, meet him, talk about pens. He has a couple of cabinets and counters full of pens that are almost like a pen history museum.
Since you couldn't go to the pen show, maybe the folks would take you out there. Fred was at the show, too, but you should see his shop - you'll have a great time.

What town is your home? Your parents had planned to take you but something came up that prevented either from taking you...right?

FWIW, I made it to the show and spent about six hours in the room on Saturday. I spent just a little more than five hours on the road to get there.

I’m certain I did all I could do to make the show Moore than you expected.
And some show in the future we will actually hang out and be grumpy.
Was good to see you.

<sigh> I was just lamenting/ranting elsewhere about which is worse, not going, or going and having mere minutes with so many great friends. I can NOT wait until retirement blooms because it completely sucks to not do a proper hang. Or anything even close.
You, my friend, made it Moore than bearable. I'll see you in six.
