No affiliation but I spotted this Parker Repair Kit today. Something that might be more popular than the seller thinks?

So awesome. Believe it or not, I was actually just thinking I need to get something like this to replace the cardboard box of misc. parts I keep using. The box tore on me. I was thinking about using a sewing box. $52 shipped to USA kinda leaves me out of the game for this item. Are you going to bid on it? I collect Parker and this is a really cool piece. I hope whomever gets it, doesn't just throw everything away and ignore its heritage. Thanks for sharing.

If I was still doing Parkers I would be all over that! I had a Summit repair kit a few years ago but that was tools rather than spares.
What is a Summit repair kit?

A limited market, but still a very good starting price. I have a Sheaffer Service Set, and paid more for it, but got less in the box. Its much older though. The number made is relatively small since it was targeted to the dealer shops, and even fewer would have survived. If I were in the UK I'd be interested. I've only seen two of the Sheaffer sets, mine and one at the Ohio show a number of years ago.

The Summit is a pen formerly made by Langs of Liverpool. The kit I had was one issued to repairers and contained all the tools you might need to deal with any problems that might arise with a Summit. The tools would have been equally useful for any lever or button filler. I sold it to a member of the Langs family living in Australia. It was heavy and it was cheaper to split it and send it in two parcels.

My reading of the eBay post is that this sale is for the box only, not the original contents. Shame to split them up, in my opinion.

The real money is in the parts!

That really is a shame. I wouldn't pay forty quid for the box alone. Such a pity to separate them after all this time.
I have only seen one of these before, must admit that it didnt look like this at all, it was also much much expensive.
Is there any doubt that it is genuine?
I can't imagine anyone going to the trouble and difficulty of making up a Parker Repair Kit box. I doubt if he would be paid for his materials and labour. There isn't a huge demand for these things. I think it's genuine. The starting price is low because it's only the box for sale and parts ( the most useful bits) are being sold later.
The only one I have seen was bought by Eric from Peter Twydle, I think it was over £200 and had clips in the lid for tools. Perhaps Parker had a seperate box for parts as opposed to repair outfit. The kit in the ebay ad looks almost to be in too good a condition

Perhaps it was issued late and little used. There are a lot of parts left.
The one you illustrate looks splendid. Perhaps it contained tools as well as parts. I must ask Eric about it.
Just on appearances, the varnished one looks older, the green one looks to be from the 1950s going from the parts list, as you say, perhaps taken out of stores and not used so much.
Eric's case looked like the varnished box, perhaps not quite as smart, I think he had a few tools included in the deal too.

Thanks for saving me the effort. I was going to message the seller for shipping to the U.S. $52 is kinda high!
Shipping anywhere overseas is quite high these days. Just go to the USPS website and hit "calculate a price". Then try adding insurance and see how high it goes. Sometimes USPS is half the price of UPS and FedEx.

Shipping from the UK goes from somewhat reasonable with Royal Mail to very high with any other carrier as soon as an item weighs more than 2kg and doesn't qualify as a Small Parcel.
I'm not sure whether this box only would weigh more than 2kg empty, but it may come up bigger than Royal Mail Small Parcel dimensions.
A 2kg Royal Mail Small Parcel Tracked and Insured up to £50 costs GB£20.35
A bigger parcel weighing 2kg sent by ParcelForce Tracked and Insured costs £35.35
$52 doesn't sound like a Royal Mail service to me.
