I recently received the Van Dieman's Aurora Australis (Night Series) so I had a play with it using a Brause ornament nib this morning. Chromatography shows a blue tint is part of the ink composition, unlike Diamine Manggis which looks similar on the page, but only has pink and purple in chromatography. In writing the ink seems like a cross between Manggis and Monteverde Rose Noir, both of which are favorite inks of mine, so win-win!
