I'm not sure on the exact measurements but it's selling for $850.

    The loot....
Front - Edison pearlette in Hawaiian swirl
Middle - FC model 66 in Orange
Rear - Shawn Newton - yup my first black pen () with opal accents

The opal accents stand out against the black.....sorry about crappy pic.

Here's a writing sample from the Superflex nib in the new Wahl-Eversharp Decoband. It's definitely flexible and my initial reaction is that it's worthy of the name. I couldn't do enough writing to really test flow, but it does have an ebonite feed and knowing Syd's attention to detail, I'm sure it'll be tuned to keep up.

Note: the purple/pink sample is from a vintage OS Decoband with a flexible nib. The feel isn't exactly the same, but the performance seems to be on par.

This is how you revive a brand. Well done guys.

Indeed. I only own one of Syd's pens (at this point), but beside the fact that it looks beautiful and is so well-made, I felt I owed it to support such a fine effort in bringing back an important pen line. He really has set the bar high, and hope I can save up for future offerings!

I did. It's my dream pen - the remake of the Jupiter pen. It's a long story but Jupiter is my favorite planet. When the pen came out I knew it would be worth everything to me.

Can I tell you how friendly Andy is? What a great guy. He's friendliness added another layer of sentiment to the pen.

One thing I always like is when the pen, itself, finds the right home. I think this is definitely the case here. And I agree: Andy is quite a guy. Before my first pen show in LA, my wife surprised me with a copy of his earlier book, and I complimented it with the iconic FPotW. I took them to the show and he graciously signed the copies. Remarkable part of the pen world, he is.

And my friend Laura has to stop feeding me straight lines. The temptation is almost too much to resist.

I was very impressed with Andy. He's a classy guy.

I bought the pen through penhero.com so I also met Jim at the show. He's another great person.

So many of the great vendors make the pen convention a wonderful experience.
