These fabulous pics send me straight into overload. A little gremlin inside me wants to run through the tables snatching pens and splashing ink!

Thanks so much for the great photos and comments!

I just hope the vendors have a few pens and bottles of ink left for San Francisco!

Just got home after a casual 5 hour drive home ... ZERO traffic and a 24 hour Starbucks on the way.

Can I say I just spent the BEST 36 hours in the last 20 years with the best people I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with.

I wish I could have stayed through Sunday...

Just an amazing time that far exceeded my expectations.

I'm disappointed (mainly in myself). I'm sure I saw several of the people in the pictures in this thread yesterday, but didn't know them (and/or was probably too shy) to say hi. This year (my second show) was definitely better in recognizing the vendors, but I need to work harder to meet forum members. Wonderful show, though. Everyone was great, beautiful pens, and I got to meet and buy a pen from Gerry Berg, who was very helpful.

This pic was drawn by Leigh Reyes. It's our klpeabody! This ink is pilot blue black...the red brown color is the sheen of the ink.

Ira, what's that Omas journal? I think a friend of mine wants something like it. Do you know where I can get it for him?

I forgot to take too many pictures but here is my haul. Two Newtons, two Brooks, and a Franklin walk into a bar . . . Too much ink (one bottle not shown) and I swear my suitcase will slosh going home. I am so happy and so exhausted by this weekend. It was amazing - so many amazing people.

Sorry that I missed you today, Ira! Crazyorange and I had to make our way back home before we hit traffic jams. You were certainly on my list of people I must meet this year.

I see that you also found the special Bung Box paper! I haven't tried mine yet, but I am excited about finding that little goodie on this trip.

I won the journal on the Anderson's podcast with Cary.

Crazyorange, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to post all of these photos from the pen show. You captured well the goodness to be had, and atmosphere at the show. As you know, I was unable to log onto the forum via TapaTalk (and still can't, idk why) but tuned into the thread when I returned home this evening. I really enjoyed reading this, and shared it with my husband.

On a personal note, thanks for a great weekend. You were a good roomie and travel partner! Mary phrased it oh-so-well in a text message to me tonight: "I have best weekend ever hangover". Yes! It was a weekend I will always remember.

    All the best,
    kp

P.S. If I may say so, you were such a lady at the Bung Box table during the frenzy on Friday morning. I think that might count as "cart karma". lol.

I had amazing time. The best people, tons of pens and bung box ink...I can't believe it's past. Did I mention the people? You guys are the best.

Hey klpeabody - anyone willing to share a Mini Cooper with me for 7.5 hours deserves a metal. Are we there yet?

Did you find a way around the GW bridge ??? 7.5 hours is a long haul..

It was awesome meeting you and sharing pens... and everyone there... it was like a whirl wind of people and every table in the bar was loaded with pen nuts. AND it was especially nice to hear the story behind your Andy Lambro grail pen ... such a great time.

Ira, I really wish you could have been there Saturday night with us all. It was just a perfect night, except it had to end. I never imagined there would be so many people we know but don't know face to face.

Next year I am going to find a way to stay from start to finish...

PS ~~~ Ya know ... did anyone take a photo lol ????

Ok I was not sure if you saw my instagram post encouraging you to post a picture of an Omas pen at the show, tag it and walk over to Kenro for one of a few free journal give aways. Dan had posted the giveaway on Sat.

As you have a journal already all is good.

Too bad I was not at the show this year. Be sure to pen me a note to let me know which show you plan to attend next.....hoping to eventually meet face to face.

Looks impressive, is that new pen case filled with joy or do you now have room to expand the collection?

I saw a few pictures posted and 2015 seems like one of the best DC events ever.

Yup. No nibs.com this year. I emailed them two months ago to see if they were coming. They will be at the LA show this year. Next year they will be at the DC show. They only do one major show a year.
    They'll be at SF, too.
I have asked a few times at Pen Posse (cos I couldn't believe) and was told that they would not be at the SF Pen Show. Did you mean that they will be at the SF Pen Show next year? Or is it okay to get my hopes up? (Hahaha.)

Great photos and stories from the DC show, people. Thank you for sharing!

Only Philadelphia and DC, though I can't say if I'll do DC again next year. I'm getting old to drive so much in one day. It would be good to meet up. How's the Mrs? (Better subjects for a letter,I know)
