My problem now is to draw or write something with it.......as I can‘t see it on the paper....

How do you solve this problem?

I have the same problem and have, so far, been unable to solve it.

It's awesome, its florescent under uv. I havent managed any photos yet though. I saw it under my father in laws uv light for about 3secs but apparently we have a torch in a drawer somewhere.

I return home on Thursday and I have a UV light, so anticipation is building.

    I guess I'm first!

Not exactly a great one for analyzing shading or feathering or general performance when you can hardly see it going down. It's an ink I bought on a whim because the idea of it made me chuckle.

I had to take my picture in two halves when I took it during daylight. I mounted my camera on a tripod because it made the picture sharper.

Paper - Paperblanks, Pen - Lamy NexxM with 1.1mm stub nib.

MI#23 ink was easy to write with, apart from the fact that you can't see where you've written. I could see wet writing across the page, and that at least helped me to work out which line I had written on if I stopped writing for a moment.

If "grainweevil" had not been so kind as to send me a small light, I'm sure I would have failed to produce a picture. Thank you grainweevil.

When you've rinsed out your pen in a small amount of water, that water is also spooky under the UV light.

I just ordered a black light and it should arrive Monday. I’m looking forward to making some ink comparisons.

I also ordered one, don’t know when it will arrive, but I guess this will be fun.

When you are done playing with the ink try using the black-light on your paper currency, preferably higher currency bills. They incorporate special dyes and watermarks that are visible only under uv-light radiation. If you have a Visa credit card, you will see the hologram of a dove that is invisible in normal light. Black light is also used to detect bodily fluids at crime scenes. eeewwww. And never, ever, take a black-light with you to a hotel room you are staying in. You'll have nightmares for weeks. (Sorry for getting off topic.)

    All the Best.

Now that's kinda cool. Glad that "compact" light is up to the task; feared it might be insufficient for photography.

Must say my own experience with UV-visible ink has been good fun, although holding the light while flushing the pen in order to see any progress would be a lot easier if I were an octopus! Getting a little impatient for my great-nephew to be old enough to play too.

Everyone's tests have looked so cool. But this was the best I could do.

I wrote an entire page with a glass dip pen. Our black light and camera are weak. Only the squiggle came out. I feel like a failure.

Mine looks very visible to my eyes (with a UV light) but my phone’s camera hates it. Lots of hot spotting. Here’s the best I could do.

Fun ink. I wish I had this when I was visiting my niece for Christmas.

For my pics I had to pull out a proper camera. It is difficult to get phone cameras to focus in low light, and then the size of the sensor and lens don't capture much light in the first place.

I wish Sammyo would pop in here. He didn't get a shipment of mystery ink, but I know I've given him some in the past. He used it to create pirate treasure maps for his daughter a few years ago.

Will you be drawing / sketching or just writing? Hidden UV reactive highlights seem like they could be quite a treat for unsuspecting viewers of your artwork.
