I had this BCHR for a long time. It's such a sleek-looking pen.

And I spent a few days thinking about this sketch, which, at least to me, tries to capture the old-time charm of an imaginary corner of a "Souq" (street market) in Tunisia or Morocco.

Now that this sketchbook has become my main one, I'll be posting my sketches in this thread again.

This one is a lot of fun especially when trying to do the washes to convey the water movement on a water fountain.

The pen, of course is a Waterman model 3.

Edit: And of course I forgot to mention this delightful ink. PenBBS #236 Mandarin Duck.

With this sketch, I'm quite beside myself regarding the pen choice ...

And don't ask me what is the brand of the ink, it came with the pen, which itself is part of a lot that I bought a while ago.

I like the sketch, as always. But on which side of yourself are you?

After researching numerous ways in which I can relay my experiences on sketching with fountain pens, I finally decided that an e-book would probably make the most sense.

An e-book can contain the concepts and ideas that I want to capture, at the same time, unlike physical books, it's a lot easier to update add new contents.

Here's what a typical page looks like:

The e-book is now in draft mode, with me still adding some contents that I think is useful. It's about 125 pages at the moment.

Now, let me clarify one thing. This is not a book where I teach how to sketch like I'm some kind of guru.
There are tons of true artists out there that are far more qualified to teach how to sketch than I am.

This book's goal is a lot simpler.

Do you like your fountain pens, inks, and paper?
Do you want to use them more often?
Then sketching, the way I discovered, is a simple, fun and addictive way to answer those two questions.
    That's about it.

Christof, you should have some of your pen sketches printed as postcards for sale - I think they'd do brilliantly on Etsy.

sending the original is more fun - for the recipient as for the sender.

Of course it is! I was thinking more from a selfish point of view - I'd buy them like a shot!
