    Default Political Over/Under

Not intended to be a "substantive" Topic, as in arguing the merits of any change.
Instead, what do you think the over/under is for changes in the party affiliation of the US Senate following tomorrow's election?
    Currently, 117th Congress (2021–2023)
    Majority Party: Democrats (48 seats)
    Minority Party: Republicans (50 seats)
Other Parties: 2 Independents (both caucus with the Democrats)
    Total Seats: 100

Same question for the House of Representatives
    117th Congress (2021–2023) 435 seats 222 Democrats 212 Republicans 0 Independents
    Source: https://history.house.gov/Institutio...rty-Divisions/

Care to share your best estimate?

How about you give your opinion first instead of fishing. Share your best estimate.

But seeing as how you asked, the GOPs will likely get control but there may be a small chance that they won't. Judging by the sheer stupidty of a large section of your population...well, you deserve the leaders you get.

Over/under is a number, here the number of seats to change party affiliation.

This from "Mr. I Never Insult Anybody Anymore"

Well guess what you disgusting, repulsive asshole? You just insulted 332,403,650 American citizens. And, this was not a "soft" or an "incidental" insult. Nor is it being misinterpreted.
You want to shit on one or more of us, fine, have at it. But, if you are going to shit on my Country, that is quite another matter. You have just escalated things, big time.

Dear all: may we keep this to the number, not an argument, debate, or brawl? Incitement notwithstanding.

    For your consideration-
There are 35 U.S. Senate seats up for election in 2022—14 seats held by Democrats and 21 held by Republicans.
All 435 House seats are up for election. Democrats held a 220-212 advantage in the U.S. House with three vacant seats.

I agree that would be nice and, personally, I would be very interested to see a lot of responses to your question.
BUT, I cannot allow someone to say what EoC has said ("Judging by the sheer stupidty of a large section of your population...well, you deserve the leaders you get.") and not take umbrage.

Regardless of our differences, red-blue, left-right, etc., etc. I hope that no US citizen who is a member of FPG will condone this moron's making such an offensive comment.

A conservative estimate, but I tend to agree.

    I agree.

The +4 / +10 estimate would be really nice but I'm not sure it is realistic.

I don’t trust poles. My prediction is more visceral.

I didn't feel insulted. It is true that many Americans are not informed. When I hear Republican speeches and talking points, I know that what they are saying is not true. I know the price of chicken and eggs has nothing to do with Democrats, but rather an avian flu virus. I know that inflation has many factors that no political party can solve in the short term. I also know I do not want Trump in charge of the Federal Reserve.

I know that Joe Biden is an old man and tends to speak before he speaks, but he is not the way Republicans have described him. He is what he is and his legislation has and will benefit those that hate him and will vote against him. I also know the man Trump because of his history and experience. His problems are not the result of a witch hunt, but rather, because of the things he did. There are Americans who are not aware he went bankrupt four times. They are unaware of his business dealings. As it is said, one doesn't win unless they compete according to the rules.

I also know the biggest threat to America, as we know it, is if one party becomes dominant. I also know that making America great is a distraction because America is great. It has always been a glorious example where justice prevails eventually do the right things when they come together and work together. I know conservatives hated it, and I did to, but I was wrong, it does, "take a village". We need each other and need to come to terms with our co-dependency.

And we need to become that sleeping giant again with the resolve to face pandemics and all threats collectively, not get bogged down in trying to put Antony Fauci or any political foe of Trump behind bars.

What EOC did was to tell you the truth. It is as true in his country as ours. In the words of Truman, "I don't give people hell, I tell them the truth and they think it's hell".

Feel free to have another hissy fit, call me names, and rant your but off, but it will have no effect of the trajectory of America if MAGA Republicans get in unrestrained power. You also may lose your Medicare and SS (If you paid taxes into the system).
