There's a Richard's Garage at the end of my street but it doesn't look as nice as yours, Will!

I wondered if it was inspired by a well known pen person called Richard... LOL

This is...frustrating. A doodle more than a sketch. It's the ink that drives me bats.
My other pen is a Montblanc.
And my other blog is a tumblr!
And my latest ebook, for spooky wintery reading:

I have very few sketches which, strictly speaking, belong to this thread rather than others. I've been doing some drawing in ink, but rarely with fountain pens. This one used a Platinum desk pen with a blue-black cartridge. Very cheap pen, but the extra fine nib is good for drawing, I think. No doubt it would have been a good idea to put down some light pencil guidelines first, as I know things came out uneven.
The main point of this was actually to try out some hatching and cross-hatching, but of course, I needed some sort of subject. I've been amazed by the regularity of some of the hatching and stippling I've seen, in cases where there was no possibility of computer assistance, I mean. I don't have that much control, or perhaps just not that much patience.

A sketch for the CNY 2022 - The Year of the Tiger
And of course, done with a vintage pen, Waterson with a super fine nib.
Will if I didn't know better I would say, you're celebrating the year of the sober toothed tiger

A big Good Service (a brand of Sears) pen from the 1930s.
And I love the fact that I can line up the clip and the lever on this pen.
I recently replaced the steel nib on my Leonardo Magico with this big Moore 14K ... love it.

The sketch is a little old tugboat, chugging along a choppy, wavy sea. I love tugboats and in this particular sketch, I think I find a way to render wavy sea that is different, and I kinda like it.

@penwash, I love how the tugboat seems to be one with the choppy sea. It is incredible how you can capture movement and nostalgia in a tiny little sketch....
