Just finished restoring this cool Parker Vacumatic Emerald.

That little dragon is based on a vintage brass ornament in the style of eastern-mythology dragons.

Tried the Quink black and bleach thing, but my bleach wasn't very bleachy... The light bits had to be gone over multiple times.

Day 13 Prompt - Ash

The Mountain Ash tree is also known as the Rowan. It's a lovely tree for small gardens. Wild birds love the berries during late autumn.

And this is how our young hero ended who tried to engage the dragon.....

Already Sun Tzu said:

"Do not engage an enemy more powerful than you. And if it is unavoidable and you do have to engage, then make sure you engage it on your terms, not on your enemy’s terms."

So our hero remain on the battlefield, the dragon had some entertainment and a little snack.

The princess our hero want to conquer married a science student from the local university.
They lived happily ever after.

Prompt: 'Ash'.
Sometimes volcanic ash is pink. I finished this last night but was waiting to see what it looked like dry.
Krishna Inks Causal and J. Herbin Bouquet d'Antan. What was interesting here was how differently the two inks worked in water. I was using pens to put down the ink on a wet surface. The Causal is very saturated and sits close to where you put it and can then be spread about easily with a brush. The Bouquet d'Antan is already very dilute, and it just spreads out instantly and keeps spreading uniformly as far as it can. To get the more saturated shades of it I had to go back and add ink directly using a dropper once the surroundings had dried a little.
