Well, look at the market for pens from companies like Benu these days. There is always a market for cheap flash!

Hey, BTW, what was that pretty blue ink you had in the Williamson?

Congrats! These are very stylish pens, in shape and pattern.

What a fantastic and beautiful pen. Congrats!

I have another italian Vac knock off. it's called "Electa Extra"

My latest pen is an interesting Orthos from the 1930's, made of lapis blue (white on blue) celluloid:

This "Orthos Ideal" is Senior sized! These very early fountain pens by C. Josef Lamy are not found every day. I knew I had to have it even before I saw it...

That Orthos looks so pleasantly balanced as a design. I love the blind cap (?) shape! What’s the nib like?

I would call the Electa a semi- vac…was Williamson the only company that copied the design down to jewel and washer clip?

It's a flexible EF. This pen is kind of an Parker imitation too. The funny thing is, that C. Josef Lamy seems undecided if he wanted to copy Parker or Wahl. here amother Orthos:

you are right. the shape of the Electa is still clearly italian. It's only the celluloid, the clip and the nib which show Vacumatic linspired design.

same with this OMAS Extra Lucens. Celluloid, clip and nib are Vac inspired...

Vacuamtics must have been very sought after at that time. Even Fritz Dimmler from Zurich (Monterosa pens) made a fountain pen with this pattern:

Collecting Vacumatics is already a very wide field, but adding all the plagiarisms it becomes infinite...

Never knew Lamy had copied Eversharp like that--I think of Eversharp being more copied by Italian makers (Columbus, Montegrappa). Very interesting.

No, I'm pretty sure is made by Carl. I have seen some pictures, with the same nose tip cone.

My first new pen in a while. They certainly don’t make ‘em like they used to, but I can use this one around town on a hot day and not feel guilty. And the nib kept up for a whole page of fast, unrelenting semiflex writing. The tipping isn’t done quite right to produce beautiful characters and the flow is too heavy but I think (hope) those things can be fixed. IMG_5307.jpeg

It seems like hardly any modern pen will write like the vintage ones. But your Scribo’s resin is really beautiful!
