    Default Swan #2 Nibs

Howdy Folks, I've got an old Mabie Todd "Swan" eyedropper on the way. The nib on it is a #2 Warrented 14K Fine nib. I know this nib is not original and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good source for either Mabie Todd or Swan logo'd nibs.

I checked out Ebay and Google but haven't had much luck, found some #4's but not decent looking 2s. I've heard that the #2 Swans are pretty common though so I still have hope that one can be found.

Thanks KrazyIvan and Grandmia! The pen arrived today and it actually is a #4 Warrented nib on it not the #2 as previously thought. The nib was pressed pretty far into the section so it obscured the marking on the nib. I am still interested in the correct nib for this pen however.

I'll have to get some pictures of the Swan up. Having some trouble figuring out what model it is. It has a unique looking ladder feed with a conical end that sticks into the barrel. Seems to work okay but I was convinced it would just flood ink all over the place! The unique thing about this pen is that it has "Property of AT&T Co." inscribed on the opposite side of the barrel as the swan imprint. It's a slender pen but in great shape with very little fading and most of the chasing is there. The inscription says it was made in New York. I'm guessing it had a life before it became "At&t" owned.

I'm not 100% sure a #4 nib belongs with this feed as the nib seems to sit a bit far into the section in order to sit flush on the feed. Seems a little small to me but I'll have to play around with that a bit to see if I can get it oriented in a better way. Could just be that the Warrented nib was never designed for this particular feed.

No worries at all Stef! The Nib that is on the pen looks like it will clean up nicley and has some interesting flex to it. I'm cleaning up the pen itself right now and then I will move onto the nib. I'll post some pictures and maybe a mini review once it's all cleaned up. Thanks for looking!
