    Default (video) Duofold Big Red history

    Interesting video about the origins of the Duofold Big Red featuring Geoffrey S. Parker, great-grandson of George.

    Thanks! Great video. Here's an early Parker advert for the Duofold Big Red.

    Well this is interesting. What do I have here? Each square on the ruled paper is 1/4 inch. Uncapped it is 5 1/4 inches but has a broad band like the Lady.

    Earlier this year I found a very nice Jr pencil to go with one of my Duofold Jr pens ("Little Red"?). I paired it with an advert in this pic:

    "When Men differ in Opinion, both Sides ought equally to have the Advantage of being heard by the Publick;
    and that when Truth and Error have fair Play, the former is always an overmatch for the latter."

    On 2 September 1945, on the deck of the USS Missouri, General Douglas MacArthur signed the surrender document between the Empire of Japan and the United States. . .

    with a Parker Duofold "Big Red" fountain pen.

    He used five pens for signing, gave four away to his generals and other officials, and kept the Parker.
