J Herbin Perle Noire
Not a J. Herbin ink.
Just for a change, I'll start with something more obscure: Kyoto Kyo No Oto Nurebairo? (Or should that be Nureba-iro?)
Aurora Black?
It is not Aurora nor Kyo No Oto, but obscure is moving in the right direction.
Hint: The ink brand is not found on store shelves outside the country of manufacture (that I'm aware of).

Take-sumi in a wet pen?
Sailor Kiwa-Guro?
Getting warmer, but not Kiwa-Guro.
Sailor Kobe Black Dong
Now there's a Kobe ink that's probably best referred to by its number...
Sailor Bungbox Music Black?
I haven't seen that before. I suppose Sailor Kobe can start a franchise like the "Cards Against Humanity" game and add 'Bigger Blacker' and 'Biggest Blackest' to their lineup. I'm sure the millennials will buy it up in massive quantities just because it makes them laugh.
Alas the mystery ink is not Kobe or Bungbox and "black" is not in the name.

New hint...
Don't let this one BUG you.
I had exactly the same thought lol...
I think I know, but then I would have to put up a post...
Kingdom note ... I know the insect name in Japanese... kuwagata mushi...
I have to look up the Latin name... please hold... Dorcus Hopei Binodulosus... damn it...
I find the black/grey/green colour odd as these fellas are definitely brown to my eyes!
